Title: Heavy Hot Worked Lobed Vase Murano???? ID = Japan (Sanyu)
Post by: LEGSY on June 02, 2021, 04:06:53 PM: Purchased a lovely heavy vase wondered if anybody could tell me if it might
be a Murano vase I have seen some similar pieces By Seguso but should not
jump to conclusions as i am not sure, There are the remnants of an oval label
any ideas would be greatly received thanks :)

Funnily enough I've just listed the exact same one in my shop.

Kamei was a Japanese exporter, they did not make glass. It is by Sanyu. I have a labelled example. There was also an importer named Kamei America that was active in the mid 1980s. There was no apparent connection between the Japanese and American companies.
