Greetings! A complete newbie here concerning glass, and I’d love some serious help for those up to the challenge. My mom has had several pieces of glassware in her hutch for ages—mostly since the mid 70’s when she inherited a lot of pieces from her Great Aunt. Some things I have been able to identify as far as patterns are concerned via web sites and books, but others I’m currently at a loss. If anyone is familiar with any of these patterns, please let me know. We don’t have tons of money to buy every I.D. guide under the sun, which is why I’m reaching out for some help just in case some of you happened to come across these pieces in your travels.
Most items were taken with a bright flash.
Now this first thing wasn’t inherited to my mom, but was given to my parents as a wedding gift in the mid 60’s.

These next ones were really difficult to photograph, and the pictures don’t do them justice. They some sort of art nouveau looking silver surrounded dessert cups of some kind.

My mom, literally has tons of this unknown pattern. Glasses, platers, you name it. Heavy glassware, very well made. They look like they have palm tree leaf patterns etched into them.

This next one is actually mine. I’m guessing deco due to the color, but the maker or pattern? Unknown. Looks like custard glass of some kind? I don’t have a black light, so I can’t really tell. It’s more green than cream colored.

This next thing is rather strange. It’s the platter in the background behind the bowl. It has some kind of wild etched vegetables in it. It’s really wild.

Pink depression glass of some kind. I’m thinking Old Café by Hocking? That’s the closest I was able to find to it…

Last, but not least, is probably the smallest cut crystal set I’ve ever seen. Looks like some kind of child’s tea set but it is heavy and cut extremely well.

Brent — Welcome to the GMB. Please would you add into your profile your country, and, if you live in a large country like the USA, your State, preferably in full for foreigners (it took me ages to work out WV, and I had real trouble with RI as the Republic of Ireland — it didn't quite fit the discussion!). It can help.
Two points.
1. Some of your "cut crystal" is probably press-moulded and not cut. Look for seams where the mould broke apart, and for inside corners, impossible to cut with a wheel.
2. Your "wild etched vegetable" platter is the No. 3093 Triple Divided Dish by Bagley & Co. of Knottingley, Yorkshire, England. It was launched in 1939, although most examples are post-war. The three vegetables/fruits are celery, gherkins, and olives. It was press-moulded with the vegetables acid-matted, then the base was gound flat and polished. A fine quality piece, quite practical and usable, but not particularly scarce. One to keep and enjoy.
I can't see any other obviously British glass.

Thanks for the information! I'll check out the crystal pieces sometime this week to see what's what as far as mold lines, etc. are concerned.

Welcome to the board. It was be easier if you posted your queries one item at a time. I know it looks like a lot of posts but we don't mind because it keeps the answers with the questions and they can be filed in the proper place if we do get answers. It also means any additional pictures we may ask for are properly connected too
Try photographing crystal against a matt black background in good daylight without flash. If you attach you pictures (see instructions at the top of the board) they will also stay here for our and everyone else's reference if you delete them from your web page

#3 is Fostoria Glass, Baroque Pattern with Lido etch. You do have more American pieces but I know the elegant glass companies off the top of my head. ;)

Not sure of the size of these, you say very small, i would think its a Punch Bowl and cups,
maybe for child or a dolls house?

I've had more of a look now. Some of the pictures have the wrong text and all of them would be better on a plain background without flash. White (cotton sheet or large sheet of paper) for colours and matt black (card, velvet or sheeting) for colourless glass. Go we like a challenge - we've already done two...

Ah--Lido pattern by Fostoria Glass. Thanks for the ID on that one--she has tons of the stuff. Anyway, as for individual picture posts, will do. I'll do one now and then start the rest later tonight or tomorrow. I can't promise better pics., though, as I'm not in the same location as the items at the moment. I'll take pics of the patterns that are easily recognizable via what I already have, and see about getting others later. Thanks!

Just a correction, it's Baroque pattern, lido etch. :)

Dimensions are also often helpful. "Extremely small" is hard to assess. Close-up photos of the patterns of the "cut" pieces might help determine whether they are pressed or cut.
5640 looks European to me.
5641 and 5649 are probably pressed.
It's possible 5659 is ABP, but we'd need better photos to judge. Is the crosshatching polished or left grey?
I suspect the punch bowl set is also pressed.
