And another fake appears on ebay in the US again fake acid etched mark to base >:(

Hi Nick. As they keep turning up in the US, I guess they are (were?) being faked there. I have tried letting the seller know - let's see if there is any response.

Hi Alan,
I contacted the seller earlier, she says it was consigned to her to be listed by a "very experienced antiques appraiser" and she was asking him if he wanted to change the listing. I have further explained why it's wrong and shown her some examples of correct Baccarat and Murano weights,but I have a feeling it may well stay :(

Actually just had a message from the seller that she is going to remove it and re list as Murano.

Yes, listing was removed due to "error in description".

Saw similar recently listed as Perthshire. Dropped the seller a message to let them know it was Murano. They said "thanks", and then just let it run. Good to see that this one listened to you guys.
