Title: Maastricht, Max Verboeket Vase , not sure what XE.12 means to base ?

Just don't know what XE.12 means , is it at all possible to date this ? Was told it was pre 1961 when bought.

The second pic. says Maastricht, the third Max Veboeket, the fourth XE.12  <----  :huh:

these have been on sale in dutch department stores until 1972.  They were cheap and many were not signed. No clue what the x number is.
