Title: Vasart Vase, signed - but is it genuine?
Post by: David E on April 07, 2006, 02:56:27 PM
Any help would be much appreciated. The vase has the usual mottled finish with a dusky pink merging into frosty-white. Where the two colours meet there are included bubbles. Height is 7¾ 19.5cm), with a 4¾" (12cm) diameter rim.

Has a rough finished pontil and is clearly signed on the base.

Looking at Frank's site (http://www.ysartglass.com/Vascat/VasV001.htm) the shape is closest to V004, however, this appears to have a different top? Voo6 appears to have a much wider rim than the base.

Links are wrong.

Yes it is a Vasart V004. V006 has a wider brim.

Cheers Frank.

The only reason I queried the shape is because it appears to curve upwards, but this must be the perspective :)

Not sure what's wrong with the links as it works fine from here. But from the Glass Queries section:

... and move to the last page.
