I couldn't resist this at £1 despite the fact that the Trinkets have a few chips in them (Unfortunately, less kiss-able that way). :)

Any comment's welcome. :)

REICH !

That was quick!! I just had time to breath. Thank you Pamela. :D
Reich... is that a good glass company? There is only one Reich item on Ebay at the moment, are they rare? :)
-
Well I like it TC... and it's not one I've ever seen before. Tiny chips on the pots aren't uncommon as they are usable items and lids going on and coming off often result in slight damage.

I had that set once...loved it!!! tho I didnt know it was Reich
I sold it for $350 about 2 years ago!

$350!!! I nearly fell off my seat!
When I joined this Message Board, I had to bolt my swivel chair to the floor because the wheels could not take all the exitement. No, not really.
It's all too easy to wizz across the floor and break one's neck in the process.
Interesting, you have two trinkets both the same size and the bigger or smaller size is missing. I wonder how much a full set is worth.

Thank you again Pamela. :)
And there was me thinking I paid too much.
Actually, I'm pretty lucky to get this set from the car boot because it was sitting on the same stall the previous week.

Now in blue.

Let's see if I can find all the colours. :D
-
Ooohhh jammy devil you! >:D Well done, TC, was that one a £1 as well? ;D
-
Thank's, it was £5 so I must be slipping then? ;D
I wonder if the blue ones are as common as the pink ones. :-\
Usually, with trinket sets, the common colour is green, or at least I thought it was green. It seems to be mostly green from where I come from, might not be green from where you come from.
:-X
-
I'll happily slip you a fiver for it TC! ;D
Interesting question about the colours... I don't know the answer either. Around here I see clear and green mainly. Perhaps we should do a survey? >:D
-
If I ever sell it I'll be sure to tell you how much I got for it. ;)
Which brings me to another question. ::)
I was under the general impression that clear glass is less desirable than coloured glass. But I came by a clear glass trinket set on ebay which made quite a bit of money. Am I right in thinking that clear glass isn't worth as much when it comes to the 1930's glass and later?
Perhaps some items were only made in clear glass and that's why it's worth more.

It depends on what it is, how desirable in that pattern, how ornate the pattern is (the more ornate or special figural patterns tend to do better in clear)...
-
I'll bear that in mind the next time I see a clear glass dressing table set. Thanks Cathy. :)

I have a few pieces of this set, but in green, and have been trying to trace it. Unfortunately, the bits I've found so far are also unidentified. I thought this might be the place to solve it : ebay 230097737704.
thank you

seems I never posted this link

Reich is very desirable here at my end :-*

Actually what I wrote was ambiguous - coloured glass in any given pattern will pretty much always sell for more. In general, clear is worth much, much less, but _if_ the pattern is more ornate or special for some reason, i.e. EAPG in a special pattern, or Aus glass with Aus fauna, then clear glass will 'do a little better' than it would if the pattern were boring.
