Hello, I have two Murano clowns I would love to get opinions on. I am familiar with most Murano but Clowns are not my strong point. I do not know what to look for that distinguishes Chinese made from Authentic Murano if the clowns are not marked. when collecting other Murano glass, I always look at the bottoms to see if an item is highly polished. Many clowns I have seen have had the bottom of the feet ground down to make for a stable display. I would think that the artisan would have gone back and highly polished the area that was ground. any proclivities or opinions on these would be very appreciated. I am not so interested in their value but more need to find out if they are authentic. Maybe they are J.I. impots or Fratelli Pitau. I am uncertain.
