Unknown maker but Big Top Peanut Butter came in the glasses.

Shown in Florence's Glassware Pattern Identification Guide 1. The Florence pattern id guides are a great reference for someone just starting out collecting glass.

They are not very detailed but cover lots of patterns.  When I first started collecting and buying I would sit in bed at night and flip thrugh the pages studying the pictures.  Soon I was able to recognize many patterns on sight.

Now with the internet, once you have a pattern name you can easily find more information on the piece.

Ok I wrote the name of the guide and will be sure to look for it on ebay. I look for books on glass, but I get overwhelmed on which ones to buy. Especially because they can be pricey. I appreciate the tip, and if you can suggest one or two more  good beginner books I would be grateful.

Your'e very nice Connie  :)

Vintagerose -

If you are looking for a good American depression glass book, then I recommend Mauzy's Depression Glass.

The reason that I recommended Florence's Pattern Id guides (there are at least 3 and they have different patterns), is that the glass you post for identification varies in age and some is later than the depression era and wouldn't be covered in many books.
