Post by: JohnHoeksma on February 23, 2020, 01:01:13 PM
LS,
I would like to have some info on this glass-crystal bowl i bought at a second hand store. I bought it for 2,50 euros.
To me the name of the manufacturer is unclear it has also the sign usa.
The bowl is 8 cm high and 14 cm wide.
I would like to know the name of the manufacturer obv and the date.
Regards John

Hi John  -  welcome to the GMB :)  -  I'm assuming this is an example of Lenox cut glass, from USA  -  not something I recall seeing on this forum previously, but if you google Lenox cut glass you'll have enough to read until bed time :)

Hi John  -  so often clear cut glass remains without an id/attribution because of the absence of a 'backstamp'.        Hope you stay with us - we need more collectors of cut glass. :)              Were you able get an approximate idea of the date of manufacture for your bowl?

Hi John, welcome to the board.

Your bowl is Apollo pattern by Lenox, according to Replacements.com - see their page here https://www.replacements.com/webquote/lc_apo.htm. The bowl comes in two sizes: 5" and 8" diameter, and there is a matching vase at 11¼" tall.
