Hi there,
I’ve recently found this pooch and can’t find a maker for him. Best guess would be English. He’s hollow and pressed together from two moulds IMO.
Any help greatly appreciated
Cheers

Did Sowerby use that turquoisy blue?
Black version here - is it the same as this one? Although no definite maker on this

Hi, thanks for your reply :)
That's the only other one I found and Worthpoint sometimes just throw names into the mix. It is the same. I might ask the Thistlewoods as they are bang on for Sowerby. Though I couldn't find any evidence on a surface look, it may be in a Catalogue somewhere. :)
Cheers

This one says it's by Thomas Kidd - different colour but is the dog the same?

and apparently this turquoise QV bust was produced by Thomas Kidd - same colour?

Looks to have been attributed to Thomas Kidd here too.
Thanks very much for your help, gives me a great lead, though I’ve read it’s uncatalogued.

I've cross referenced onto that thread so hopefully Neil will see this and perhaps be able to help you more.

Thank you very much. :)

The current view is we think these small cats and dogs were made by an unidentified factory in the northeast. The Thomas Kidd ones are thought to be the ones which come on a proper plinth. It is of course guesswork as they do not appear in any catalogues.

Thank you very much Neil.
