Title: VLG ‘Weser’ glass trinket set pieces, c.1935
Post by: agincourt17 on April 27, 2013, 08:38:18 PM
3 matching trinket set pieces as shown in the German VLG (Vereinigte Lausitzer Glaswerke) Musterbuch for 1935.

From the Weser set (presumably named after the River Weser), and all in green uranium glass, the most notable feature being the synchronised horizontal wave pattern. The glass is very reactive to UV light.

Lidded trinket pots pattern numbers 546 and 547, plus the ringholder number 548.

The complete set can be viewed on the VGL Musterbuch 1935 page at

Does anyone have photos of any other pieces from the set? Did it come in colours other than uranium green?

As promised a photo of 5 different ring holders of this model. Amber, purple, green, white and smokey brown/grey. The pins of the white and amber ring holders are covered by a kind of black enamel, rather thick.

I was looking at the GTS for this model "Weser" of the VLG Lausitzer Glassworks but couldn't find it . Photos from some years ago disappeared maybe....?

I can also only see Nadja Rina Vera and Viola from the 1969 catalogue on VLG GTS site Eugenie, super ring holders by the way :)
