Glass Trinket Sets / Re: Uranium Glass Tray.

(Pasting some of this from another thread)

I believe the 'Glory Star' Tray is shown in the Czech Stolzle 1930's Pressed Glass Catalogue:

There is a stepped finial Trinket Pot in a different design to Mystery #145:

There are a few other stepped finial pieces in the catalogue.

There are a few other stepped finial pieces in the catalogue.

On Page 13 there is another Tray (looks to be same size and shape as the 'Glory Star' Tray) with the 'Palm Trees' design in the base, with Trinket Pots and Jam Pot, butter/honey etc. that match the JewelRay sets (was Mystery #47).

The 'Palm Trees' appear on a few other pieces in the catalogue, there is a thread discussing them here:

https://www.glassmessages.com/index.php/topic,8424.0.html

I've personally never seen the 'Palm Trees' Tray which leads me to believe it was perhaps soon replaced with the 'Glory Star' Tray and/or possibly the Full Starburst Tray.

Therefore I believe the Jewelray Set (was Mystery #047) #145 and #185 and the Full Starburst Set (which appears in #047) are all by Stolzle.

If we consider these Stolzle Catalogue pieces were 1930's and the Clayton Mayers Catalogue is 1950's there are many years where pieces could have been redesigned or pulled/changed for various reasons.

I hope that makes sense Anne and NevB?  ;D

I can't seem to find any other threads on Mystery Set #85 but I've found an ID for the tray in the Czech Stolzle 1930's Pressed Glass Catalogue.

The Mysteries Gallery link for #85 is here:

I have also seen photos of the full set in Amber Blue Green and Pink.

Additionally it might be worth noting that this set shares the same design Ring Holder and Candlesticks as Mystery #79

VESICA PISCIS
This piece by František Vizner for Škrdlovice may seem disconcerting to some.
It baffles me to see the similarity it has with the “Virtual Potato”
described in my little treatise on Beauty.
Both address the mystery of the primordial vesica piscis.

VESICA PISCIS

Jayne, thank you!  :-* That's fabulous, I've been hunting for this piece for ages, and what a super catalogue that is, I'll have a good look through it later this evening when I've finished my current task (sewing bunting - don't ask!)
