Greetings oh knowledgeable ones- just picked up this vase- sold as murano but having it in front of me I feel more scandinavian or whitefriars????? 26.5 cm high, pale icy blue, five sided vase with cut and polished base, slightly concave, the lip is cut, polished and slightly bevelled inside and out. Please view the pictures and advise if I am on the right track or not.regards Carol
-
Sorry will repost the lip.

I must buy some quite boring glass, but I would like some idea of the origin of this vase. regards carol
-
No, it just means nobody who looked at the time had a clue. I think the ground rim rules out Whitefriars. Is the base matte or shiny.
-
The base and the rim are ok for Whitefriars but i dont recognise that general shape as theirs , cmon Emmi what say you .
-
My first thought on seeing it was WF Arctic Blue. Which probably means it's either Scandi or Caithness! :spls: ::)
-
Greetings all, base is polished with moderate wear, weight wise is not as heavy as it appears. regards Carol

Hi Carol, you might find that having a more useful/descriptive subject line will attract more replies. Some members look down for something that catches their eye in their area of interest, so topics with non-descriptive subjects might not get looked at the same. See the Help topic about subject lines here:

I've amended a couple of yours to something more descriptive for you.

Point well taken Anne, thanks for taking the time. regards Carol

9542?
-
Getting closer I feel!! Have checked out 9492 but my vase is a good half inch taller and a distinctive lobed appearance- the Whitefriars item seems panelled not lobed. Many thanks Emmi. Did not get a result for number 9542 though. regards Carol
