Hi new to site I have a glass clown can someone help identify the clown I was told when given the cown in the 70s it was murano glass from Italy
-
probably Murano, but I have had some from Mexico as well.

Do a google for labeled examples, i have about ten although they have had to be packed away (they give my girls nightmares), that face and the boots do not look right the rest does, on my ten labeled ones the boots are always pretty much the same, and all mine are damaged.

mine has spiky sharp points to hair and the lower lip has run to look like a tong it came from Europe in the 70s brought from Glasgow Scotland by relation as gift

Hi ,
This could be completely wrong but from the depth of memory I think similar glass clowns were made by the Venetian Glass Company in Blackpool UK , a favourite holiday destination for Glaswegians in the 60s and 70s, Mother , a Glaswegian, had many of these clowns .
Peter.

Venetian Glass co in Blackpool was Franco Toffolo and after 1980 he continued to make clowns, figures etc in Scotland. Google with variations on spelling for examples. Spelling I give is the correct one.
