the earlier you go into Walther leaflets, it is the TANGO pattern
I am interested to know WHEN it obviously became Nürnberg for the first time? after WWII?
Thank you so much as always!

Pamela - in 1934 the basket Nurnberg is shown.
The Tango basket (in 1930) looks much thinner and not as flared as the later Nurnberg.
Just my thoughts....

My Nurnberg basket can be seen in the illustrations on this page:

It glows wildly under UV light. It certainly is a heavy and impressive piece of glass. It's been in the family for quite a long time.

Thank you, Glen!
Meanwhile I think:
1) The 1930 Tango is described as 'hoch' (high) Could be the same mould and flared in 1934, when also the flower frog was added to it.
2) Guess, Walther were forced to give it a GERMAN name after 1933 agitate started, when art, literature, music, dance etc. from abroad got forbidden as harmful, 'entartete Kunst'
