Hi all, have just brought this piece. Its large and looks to "flowery" to be Art Deco to me. Theres no mark or number on it and I can't find it anywhere on the net .... Any ideas as to its make please and if it is actually Deco or Victorian? .... Its a darker Jobling green unlike its pale look in the photos ... TIA Hannah :girlcheer:

Is it a two piece item Hannah?

Max, thanks, I thought we'd seen similar before but wasn't sure. So we still don't know who made this one?

These have been ID'd and are from c1929. The cherubs probably have a registration mark somewhere. http://www.glassmessages.com/index.php/topic,18619.0.html
Lucky you to have a jade set   It will be uranium glass.

Just wanted to say it's great to see the cherub stand with a positive ID! I've seen them come with several different bowls, which all seem to be interchangeable with figurines such as september morn, boy on fish, girl on turtle etc. Just have a look through Black Poppy's misc section (http://www.black-poppy.co.uk/Miscellaneous_&_Unknown_-_Centrepieces_&_Frogs/index.htm). It sounds like they might all be Schweig, Müller & Co? If their product catalogues ever surface they should be an interesting read!

They do seem to be interchangable as you said and the sad thing is this bowl has a round limescale mark like it had a frog and such like that had been used with it ... must have got seperated up :thud:
