Post by: glassaddict on January 20, 2007, 10:48:52 PM
Bought this today assuming it was a biscuit box. Does anyone have any ideas on a maker please?
Thank you for your time.

Hi Glassaddict.  I think you are right - it is a biscuit jar by Sowerby's Ellison Glass Works.  I'm pretty sure that it is the same one seen on page 3 in the 1930's catalogue (reference CD by Glen & Stephen Thistlewood called Sowerby's Ellison Glass Works Volume Two - George V to Elizabeth II - can be obtained from this website - http://www.geocities.com/Yosemite/Geyser/1799/home.html).
