My first thought was possibly Cambridge Glass, I've had a quick look but can't find that pattern, it could be another US maker. You could try posting it on the Collector's Weekly website or do an image search on www.replacements.com. Also try searching Ebay.

The matte-ground pontil mark suggests modern Chinese to me

Hi, thanks for posting this. Sorry for late reply but been busy. I found the article, which looks interesting, but not had time to read thoroughly. I have included a link incase anyone else is interested. I’m sure there can be no copyright issues with a link that only directs to the original material and if none of the content is replicated on here.

Glass / Unusual green candlestick-style vase for ID
« Last post by chilternhills on February 05, 2025, 05:29:36 PM »
Can anyone help identify this unusual vase, please? I thought perhaps Finnish and 1970s when I bought it, but I can't find anything quite like it online.

The vase is in the style of a candlestick, but probably not used for that. The vase stands 24 cm high and has a substantial weight.

It's mouth-blown, with the pontil mark ground out slightly concave. The green colour is throughout the glass and not flashed. The quality is not quite the best I've seen; there are a couple of small creases in the glass.

The rim is flat and 10.7 cm across. The hole is 3 cm in diameter with no sign of it ever having a stopper. The glass is about 6 mm thick at the rim.

The bulbs at the base and middle are both about 9 cm in diameter.

There are no maker's marks or signatures.

Any help on possible identification is much appreciated. Thank you.

Anton

Thanks for accepting me. I've been trying to identify these pieces for years. Any leads would be appreciated.

There are some design similarities with pieces by an artist called Ljubica Ratkajec Kočica though.

a ceramic sculpture here - the dots/speckles and the lips and some of the facial features:

a painting here - the hands and fingers and also the dots as a motif:

The hands and fingers on this sculpture:

And she also worked with glass as well as ceramics -

and some examples here:

I think my box very much could be by her actually - see this facebk post with the picture of the fish on glass and the painting of the woman:
