I've got hold of some lovely Czech glass recently, which is now for sale in my shop. Feel free to message me with any enquiries.
Geraint.

Hi Geraint,
Nice selection, I think the first piece you have down as Moser is actually a more modern piece by Chribska. Does it have an internal bridge between the colours ? From memory it's shown in one of the more modern Chribska catalogues and is also on the GMB somewhere too.

Can't find the catalogue right now, but Wayne has a couple of other examples from this range, circa 1999 on his site...

Hi Geraint,

There's some interesting reading contained in the below thread regarding these vases. As quite often is the case, its not straight forward in that it appears both Karlovarske Sklo and latterly Chribska produced very similar designs. From reading, the answer may lie in finding a shape match in either one of the catalogues.

Hi Greg.
I did read that thread (and others).  The key part is that Lipa's design has a glass bridge inside the pieces to produce the circular optical effect. This, to my mind, is the most important distinguishing feature (and not found in the Chribska pieces) and why I'm pretty certain that my vase is one of the Lipa designs for Karlovarske Sklo.
Cheers Geraint.

Interesting, I noticed Wayne's Chribska small example also has the bridge if you look at the other photos.

I think Wayne may have misattributed that piece and that it is, in fact, an earlier Lipa piece. He seems to have based his attribution on the similarity to the Chribska pieces seen in the 1999 catalogue: https://photos.google.com/share/AF1QipPRpxQpqUF7STkvzMtJw9-weEK36bQpxovPBX24OYC9mrkWX8-b17kcRfPOtLQwJw/photo/AF1QipMUduNkbPKv78B7gTIv2OnjQiftunWavZzLixAe?key=QlZYN2pwV2RseThMVzkwZExrRERMeXZUWEhiV1Fn
But I can't see any connecting glass bridge in the pieces shown there.

Thanks.

I have you exact same vase as yours somewhere and have always wondered which factory it belonged to.

Looking at the 1999 Chribska catalogue,  I can't seem to see a connecting bridge either in those designs.

Unfortunately, the photos have disappeared in the below thread, although the poster mentions a connecting bridge on the vase, which Jindrich believed was Chribska.

Shame the photos are missing, not sure how often Jindrich looks in these days.

The appearance of the Lipa pieces with the connecting rod looks quite different to the later Chribska pieces, with a darker inner core created.

For me it's not that confusing, and at least in the case of my vase, I feel satisfied that it is the right attribution. With many of these older threads, they probably weren't aware of Lipa's Karlovarske designs or were only dimly aware.
