Title: Baccarat ?????
Post by: neil.bottomley378 on August 14, 2013, 03:28:22 PM
Hi, Im trying to identify this glass urn I am selling on ebay. I was told when I bought it that it was probably Baccarat as the dealer had seen one virtually identical in a baccarat catalogue. However, I've been unable to verify this. I've recently been told by a kind person I randomly contacted that it could be Baccarat or possibly Moser and by the style of the feet is possibly circa 1880. (The clothes the fishermen are wearing do look more eastern european (i.e. bohemian) to me but i may be wrong).
I think I may have paid a premium price when I purchased the piece some 12ish years ago due to to then financial boom and where I bought it from, but it was a time I was crazy about glass and was left some money from my mother and wanted to buy something special to remember her by. Unfortunately due to hard times I'm now having to sell it, but would be reassured to know that the current asking price is not that wayward and being able to identify it would help me feel more confident in this.
I've not been able to add photo attachments as the files are way too big but this is the ebay item number: 171098441364 where there are several high quality pictures that can be zoomed into.
Regards Neil
