Title: opaline pressed glass bowl fluted rims - ID = Fenne ´Ewald´
Post by: norman warbreck on August 17, 2010, 09:49:35 AM
Hi everyone
I am at a loss as to where these pieces were made and have looked extensively....perhaps American?
The small design has berries and leaves..there are no numbers impressed.
Any help would be gladly received.
Many thanks
Norman

My wife and I have owned a double-crimped bowl and a relatively flat plate (both shown as Fenne Ewald on the web site) for some time without knowing who made it, so this attribution is nice to know. I should also mention that the glass is rather thin but surprisingly heavy because of the lead content. Give it a tap, and you'll get a decent "ring" ... though not of long duration as with high % lead crystal.
