British & Irish Glass / Angus & Greener creamer rd 214357
« Last post by glassobsessed on February 09, 2026, 01:41:11 PM »
Pretty sure I had looked at this creamer a few times before but yesterday spotted it had a registered design lozenge. The creamer stands 3½" or 9cm tall, the lozenge is very hard to read by eye but a lucky photo makes it as clear as day.

Glass / Re: Robinson & Skinner? Rummer
« Last post by neilh on February 08, 2026, 05:45:19 PM »
It would not have that density for Robinson & Skinner, more likely around 2.9g/cc. I have a chapter on pressed glass goblets in my forthcoming Percival Vickers book - less than 6 months away from release if all goes well - and there I break them into 11 types. This one I have down as "bar and lens" with a suggested introduction date of 1850-55 across makers, one of the earlier designs away from common flutes etc.

France / Sevres Bowl

It's difficult to read but I'm sure this has a "Sevres France" mark, probably dating it to the 1970's. It's 35cm. in diameter and over 4kg. in weight.

A 4 inch shoulder vase, no marks, based on the Indigo pattern ( see last picture ) new pieces seem few and far between recently.

Glass / Re: Opalescent Goblet Form/Vase?

I am surprised as well and see no reason to doubt the source in your links attribution. Their photo's do emphasize what I call the ambient blue in the opaline. I would show you a photo of the vase in question with the exact same attributes but I gave it as a gift some years ago. I stay at a nieces house up north during the holidays and always bring a gift of some glass. She has a small collection by now and displays it prominently in her front room. She will be thrilled, as am I. Many thanks.
