I don't think the base of the foot is the same as 2275 (It's S.L. for Saint Louis I believe) 1841 2me Partie planche 72.

It looks different to me as that one isn't dotted but appears ribbed to my eyes?

do you have an uv blacklight?  If you do can you see what colour it shows in the dark?  Just curious as to whether it has a peachy/orangy glow.
Also if you could photograph your pics clearly and lit by daylight against a white paper background it helps with seeing detail and colour :)

Glass / Murano (style?) horses in the manner of Signoretti
« Last post by Dovetails on Today at 07:47:00 PM »
Hello,
I am working on an appraisal and hoping for further information if possible on these green glass horses with rough finish. I believe the finish is scavo, and that they are Murano. The closest comps I can find, which are very few, seem to lean toward Signoretti, but these are unsigned.
If anyone recognizes and can lead me to more information, I would greatly appreciate it. There are 4 of them, each measures approx. 12"

Thanks John, never thought to Google 'Free Form' as a producer, just assumed that it was a description of the shape or decoration!

Thanks very much, everyone. It came with some other Maltese pieces so the attribution makes sense. Even knowing that it's Valetta doesn't make the signature any clearer but it is actually a very attractive piece in the flesh.

Just throwing the net wide Sue! Would think Valetta too, seen a few of their bits in these colours over the last couple of years.

That is really a bit special.
Dartington Glass, for Dartington Hall and with a Frank Thrower signature.
But it doesn't look that easy to sup beer from that wide rim. You'll need a straw. ;D

Think the designer could be Thomas Graham Jackson, nice and hard to find.

I can kind of read Valletta more into the mark than Mtarfa.  ;D
I would not have thought Phoenician.

Not just 5, but 5 all in different positions.
I'm beginning to suspect this is something rather special and unusual, even for an unusual genre. 8)
