Title: Bird no. 2
Post by: poppyparker on September 01, 2011, 05:20:03 AM
I know I've seen this recently on here but have searched and can't find it.  It's a podgy little bird, all intact apart from the very tip of his beak is broken off (didn't realise when I was buying it - for not very much).

It has a blue and a green streak inside that I can't work out where it is actually placed and that comes through nicely in the photos.  11cm long and 13cm tall.

Many thanks  :sun:

I think you'll find he is probably from Murano and that the green streak is uranium glass. I have his cousin but no ID http://lustrousstone.co.uk/cpg/displayimage.php?pid=710 plus the two pix to the right

Christine - thank you.  They do look like relatives, same perky little face, thank you.  I must get a UV light so I can see if he glows.
