Title: Lovely little amber and chocolate streaky weight
Post by: josordoni on May 15, 2007, 04:34:09 PM
This is a very pretty weight, bought with some contemporary studio weights (mostly US). I wonder if anyone recognises the design at all?  It is unsigned, with a firepolished pontil.

I think the underside , which has more of the chocolate is much nicer than the top side.  Shame it has the pontil in the middle.... ::)

Here it is:

I know the name of the maker of those ...... and I can't remember it!  >:( ::)  Someone else will, no doubt!

If you like the bottom best, why not just stand it that way up? :D Never mind the pontil mark!  ;D

Oh yes, I agree Leni...

and being very short sighted if I squint a bit I wouldn't notice the pontil anyway.... 8)

Lynne, it might be worth emailing a photo of it to Tim Simon at Uredale and asking him if it is one of his. He and his wife Maureen are both really nice folks - I met them at the 1st Northern Glass Fair in Harrogate - their email address is on their website: http://www.uredale.co.uk/
