Not seen one of these before, I believe it's a 'Monkey Bottle' signed and dated, picked up at a table top sale.
-
;D Fabulous. Well done. 8) 8) 8)

Great find Keith. It feels good when these unexpected things turn up.

Decanter according to a retail price list, that is not a date but item number H166.
Monkey? Looks more like cow to me but his figures have confused me before!
John

Thanks all, I stand corrected John ::) again, are they from around then ?
-
That price list is from 1965, with such a low design number I imagine that the design itself dates from ten or so years earlier.
-
I think it is indeed a Monkey bottle - actually a Gorilla Bottle. Never seen a cow with legs that solid.
Ross

??? I've never seen a gorilla with ears like that though. ;D
-
Thanks again John ;D
-
Any time Keith. I wondered about those ears, angle of the torso, horizontal versus vertical and mine looks to have a tale but that might be an air bubble behind the prunt...
-
Mine only has three legs ! :o
-
Likewise, artistic licence I guess :D
-
At least you know yours is some form of tripod, Keith.
And I was very convinced by John's tail.
Different species. ??? ;)
-
What, Keith and myself?
