Title: Murano art glass Ca Rezzonico Chandeliers - Information
Post by: MuranoArtGlassChandeliers on August 17, 2011, 02:29:09 PM
Hi everyone

Another futher snippet when it comes to informing you of what characteristics define Murano chandeliers.  The style pictured here is called the Ca Rezzonico.  The Ca Rezzonico family of Venice purchased a Palazzo which still stands on the Grand Canal in Venice in 1648.  They then began to design chandeliers to suit this residence and the term Ca Rezzonico was born, adopted from the chandeliers they created.  This style of chandelier are probably the most ostentatious and flamboyant of any style of Murano Chandelier.   With an abundance of different techniques used, the additon of drops, swaggers and Torcell (glass paste) flowers, spirale canes and more, they are simply outstanding.

Ciao
