Hi,

I just wanted to show you all a lovely cat from Formia, Murano.

Does anyone else here have something from Formia with this grey effect?
If so, I'd love to see a picture or two!  ;)

Really nice effect on that. It's a keeper for the future. I am in the vein of thinkers who would like the major glass designers to limit their pieces to 100 or so and sign them (as there is new technology, there could be ways to do it within the glass as well like diamond makers do.). Like Seguso Viro, they make 101 of their pieces now and that's it. So getting a piece is a good investment although they are pretty expensive to start off with. Anyway, this cat is really pretty and so is the elephant.

Not directly relevant to these lovely animal pieces, but there's a sequence of photographs showing glass being made at Formia here (http://www.glassmessages.com/index.php/topic,23747.0.html), which you may have missed as it is of general interest and so on the main glass forum.
