Can find very little about these weights, one in Richard More's gallery which seems a little different? that one looks to have a S76 cane in the centre of the flower this just has 71in the centre cane? also this one has a red and white 'S' cane on the base but someone put the label over it so can only see it looking down through it,
No sizes given but a large and small version are pictured this one being 5" high and weighing 1.8Kg not sure if that makes it the large?
A google search and an image search only seems to throw up the one in Richards gallery so presuming there not plentiful?

At 5 inch height, yours is definitely a "Large" version! It is larger than the one shown in Richard's site under his "Jumbo Large" category.
I think Richard's site information with his own thoughts about sizes and numbers is about as good as it gets.
But consider that, before yours was faceted, it would probably have been almost 6 inch height, and if sold as unfaceted, perhaps worthy of a "Richard category" of its own ("Mammoth", for example).
Richard has said that he considers the DSF43 weights to have been "only a small issue each year"... and from around "1970 to 1978". If there were only 1 per month for 9 years, that would be 108 examples. If 10 per month then 1,080. But it does seem that few have so far come to light in the collector market.

Dohhh !!! it's 4" high 4" across weighs 4 lbs or 1820g in new money :)
Does that relegate it down to small ? ;D

No!
Richard's categorisation has his one example of a DSF43, which is 4.05 inch high, as a "Jumbo Large".

I was watching another faceted one that ended on ebay last week here
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/161032397027?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649 (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/161032397027?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649)
And I have the non faceted version which is 4" diameter and 31/2" high, that's dated 70 in the centre with the s cane in the base.

Thanks, large it is then, someone did give me the link. though maybe I am over estimating it but I would have thought considering the size and not a lot around it should have been more :)
