Title: Murano / Misag Art Glass bird ornament - never heard of them!

I bought this bird ornament the other day. It's quite well made. Looking online I found just a few similar items. Some say Murano, others say Misag Art Glass and Winston Porter Paperweight Collectible. I have never heard of Misag or Winston Porter. Can anyone shed further light on this?

The bird stands about 10 cm high and 10 cm from beak to tail. The piece is solid glass. The swag pattern is cased in clear glass. The black beak is applied as a separate piece of glass and is not pulled out from the rest of the body. There are no marks or labels on the piece.

Here is a picture of the base. The casing can be seen clearly. The base is ground flat. There seems to be the remnants of glue for an almost square or oblong label.
