These were all found from different sellers from one small car boot.
A pair of what look Bohemian vases with cherubs not hand painted but transfer.
A small signed Boda vase.
A pair of satin uranium glass small rose bowls.
A Bohemian / Kralik style iridescence tear drop vase.
A pair of engraved wine glasses with red rims and foot.

We need a car boot page, lucky to find so many things in pairs, I might trawl 10 car boots and find 3 things of real interest and I'm always up against at least 10 dealers every time I go.The satin blue vases seem to be fairly common would love to know where they come from and how old they are.

Could do, these four are within the last two weeks, but where do you start?, i think the first is webbs (Burmese ish) 1880 odd the second a piece of 1870's cut glass, the third god knows but it's full of seeds with heavy base wear a rough pontil with made out of canes with at least five layers and i think it has some real age and the fourth i have not seen anything like it in a purple opalescent colour i think might be Walsh Walsh, all a mystery and god knows if i'm right about any of them, posting random finds does not help id them but i do think it's of interest as there are still lots of things out there to find.

Not bad finds Chris. I like the 1st and 4th items they both look very interesting. The car boot I go to which is the only one is also known as the posh car boot as its in a very expensive area , I just pop in on my way to do the shopping.
A couple of other items I have picked up since July was the Whitefriars Peter Wheeler studio glass and a Victorian satin glass jug. I also picked up 3 early cut glass plates.

Yes Roy, there are two posh car boots by me, always chock full of dealers at least 12 at the last one, i walked down three rows and give up. This has to be the best one so far this year, i have no idea how to date it as it looks brand new with very little base wear and it's a monster 14 inches in height and weighs just under 2 kg, you have to be there when everyone is unpacking as most good stuff has gone within the first half hour.
£4.00 and all hand cut.

The small car boot I go to opens at 11.00 and all the sellers have just about unpacked before you go in .
I went this morning and nearly came home empty handed until this little bowl caught my eye. Its signed Daum Nancy France and after a little research believe its a Daum Verre de Jade miniature bowl .
Diameter 11cm.
Date c1920.

Great find, this one cost me a hundred quid.
Worth every penny it's stunning.
Same size as yours.
As far as i have researched the signature is pressed in hot leaving a smokey dull stain around the signature.

A good morning for my standards at boot fairs today ,as I often come home with jack.The first being a riihmakii vase,does anyone know the colour rarity order by the way?.and what I take to be a Victorian pressed glass half pint ale glass.

The blue vase is not from Riihimaki, that appears to be one of many internet enabled myths, maker unknown at the moment. Nice quality though and they tend to sell well on ebay.

No idea what these pics look like as I'm in the middle of no where, here are a couple more showing one of the best cut glass items I have ever seen (thats not been behind museum glass) and I think dating to the 1840's.

Nice haul! I think the red jug/vase with the clear handle is Riihiimaki, isn't it? And I spy a nice wee bit of Davidson cloud glass as well. The pearly blue posy bowl with your cut glass piece is gorgeous!

Very lucky this weekend to find these three for next to nothing, a piece of American brilliant cut glass around 1900 in date which is stunning the best piece of cut glass i have found so far, a georgian ale im guessing around 1760-1800 and a piece of isle of wight gemstone 1990's .

Another pair of i'm guessing early 19th century cut glass items from todays car boot, loose in a big box with a load of other pots and cups, a large oval dish and what i think is a perfume or maybe holy water? bottle.
The dish measures 12 inches in length and the bottle 5 inches in height, the stopper is a nice tight fit so i'm sure original.

I have to say i'm rather intrigued by the two little handled mugs with the coin pattern on, in different colours.
I'd love to see better images. (hint, hint ;) )
Is there purple in them, towards the top? Is the dark rim real and a sort of chocolatey purple?

Even if they're just two-tone amberina, they're still rather interesting. :)

My guess would be an American version of amberina.

The dark rim was what bothered me, I haven't seen that on amberina, (not that I've seen much).
I was rather unsure about the quality of graduation. ;D
Sometimes, photos can alter the appearance of glass.
I perhaps got a little carried away. ;D

Strange things happen. Last week on the forum i posted about an Elfverson/Stromberg/Dunne Cooke decanter.
This Sunday i went to one of my usual antique fairs without checking it was on this month, it was not.
On the way back i called into a rainy outdoor car boot. Nearly everyone had packed up there were only about 4 sellers still there.
The first stall i came across only had about 5 things left out on the table. From 50 yards away i spotted a pair of Osbourne pattern
Elfverson/Stromberg/Dunne Cooke decanters.
Both in good condition but with some water stains inside.
I was a happy bunny. good stuff is still out there.

Today was my first car boot for over a year, my wife found this Walther Glass Pierrot and Pierrette clock and candlesticks. I think the clock is pretty rare.
The clock is not working but the glass is perfect.
I think my wife was at the right stall at the right time as the gentleman unpacked. As my wife picked them up she caught out the corner of her eye a male charging like a Bull towards them.

Uranium thorn vase, probably John Walsh Walsh.
Jeannette "crackle marigold" jug.
Lausitzer "Orion" bowl.
Bowl and frog I was sure was Walther but ???
10 sided pint glass with the crown stamp 478, St Helens, 1953-64.
I'll probably post these separately later.
