Title: Car boot find
Post by: burch69 on July 24, 2017, 12:55:34 PM
Hi

Had a bit of a car boot find at the weekend and wondered if anyone had any ideas as to maker and designer. It has inscribed on the base London and on the other side - W F

Many thanks for any info in advance

Pat

hi  -  is there any wear inside the neck, or is it clean and unworn?         Not sure what it's meant to be  -  carafe for the table or possibly a vase.
How are these marks applied  -  acid or stylus type?                   Some indication of size won't tell us who made it, but always of use and interest.

hi Paul
Thanks for the reply. It doesn't have any sign of a stopper in terms of wear. It measures 23cm by 16cm across the base. The marking are inscribed on the base with a polished pontil.
Many thanks for interest.
