Title: Help identifying pink glass perfume with stopper please
Post by: Bluebell17 on October 15, 2016, 01:00:16 PM
Hi,

Hope you can identify this pink glass. A friend has asked me to find out a little about it, as she's hoping to sell it.

There are a pair of each item.

The stoppered bottles are 5 inches high including the stopper, and are in good condition except a few nicks to the stopper on one bottle.

Any idea on pattern, usage, maker etc would be appreciated.

Regards
Dee

Hi Dee  -  would suggest that the lidded powder or cream pots, at least, are possibly part of a trinket set, and if it's a known set then someone here may well be able to tell you the maker and an approximate date of manufacture.             Always possible the colognes are also from a dressing table set, but I'd suggest not, and they are more likely to be stand alone items - but these things not my area, so really only guessing.

Of course if they're unrecognized items then regret to say you are quite likely never going to find out any information.    Dressing table accoutrements - during the first half of the C20 - were made in prodigious quantities in most countries.             As a totally uneducated punt I'd have thought somewhere around the 1940's give or take a decade.

They are not part of the same set, so we could do with splitting them out to 2 topics. I'll do that for you now.

Hi Paul,

Thank you for your imput, I had a feeling they were from a dressing table set. I remember my grandmother having a similar set in clear glass. I've scoured the internet for information to no avail, so hence the reason for my post. Fingers crossed that someone may be able to identify them. The two bottles are of sligtly different sizes in girth and height.
The girths are 7 and 6 inches and heights are 4.5 and 5 inches.

Thank you

The bottle looks a little Inwald Lord to me.

A straight side on photo may help.
