Title: Any ideas on these hyacinth style vases HG
Post by: ultimatecodfather on April 24, 2007, 01:17:10 PM
I picked up a pair of these today. however the picture does them little justice looking at them my imediate thought was holmegaard as they look the same quality & colour as my gulvases

It's quite close to a Kristalunie design by WJ Rozendaal, but it's not.

(The lip of yours is slightly too broad and the neck a little too short!)
I have seen something similar which was attributed to Wedgwood, if that's a clue!

The smoke Gulvases were made in the UK by Cascade Glass under license from Holmegaard. This shade is not a Holmegaard colour.

I know nothing about the rest of Cascade Glass' production - possibly they used the same colour on other pieces. Maybe worth looking into?

I will take more pictures as the colour is not a good likeness. these appear in the picture as browner than what they actually are.
