I've had these for sometime,
Normally I can find at least something close to compare an item with.
But, with these two I have found not a thing.
5.5"/14cm wide
They look somewhat brighter in the pictures than they actually are, still lovely things though.
Any ideas ?

Superb. They are by Ercole Barovier, I was told. I have 4 similar and was delighted to have them identified on the recent glass fair in Birmingham where one dealer had a set of 6 with one larger bowl.

Ivo, thanks thats great to know, my Barovier collection has just doubled in size :chky:
any idea of age ?
-
also Ivo do you have any pics of yours, or are they same as ?
-
Ercole worked 1924 to 1974 so anything goes - but I was under the impression this style is from the late twenties.
Mine are of course a little different with an aventurine spiral in aqua glass and a separate foot, but same treatment, ribbing, small snapped off pontil mark... and the set in Birmingham was different again. But to me the similarities are pronounced.

thanks Ivo, I can see what you mean, another little nugget for me to store away in the little grey cells.
