Bohemia, Czechoslovakia, Czech Republic, Austria / Stolzle Dish

This isn't in the catalogue but has a combination of the panel pattern on the 18872 pedestal bowl on P.17 and the ball pattern on the dishes on the last page.

My guess would be it's a lid, possibly for something like a storage/tobacco jar, numbered to identify it as is done with decanter stoppers.

:-[ could be major howler from me . looking more closely at the base and sides, that could be a very thick black glaze on a pottery body!
Sorry about that folks.
I would still be interested as to it's purpose but maybe put on the right forum :)

Not sure what to make of this glass disc.
After a good look around the net i cant see anything close.
First thought was paperweight ?
Then linen smoother then maybe a muller for grinding solid paint.
The number on the base is a puzzle as well.
Any help gratefully appreciated.
It is 103mm in diameter and 51mm high.

Glass Trinket Sets / Davidson Clear Glass Tray Cut Top and Bottom
« Last post by Jayne on Yesterday at 04:28:07 PM »
An example of a Davidson clear glass tray "cut top and bottom" as stated in the 1956 Pattern Book.

I've had this tray for years and never found an attribution or other pieces of a set to go with it.

It does appear between two trinket sets in the pattern book though, Page 10.

I believe this is the Trinket Tray usually seen with Mystery Set #183 if someone would like to add it to the gallery.

I didn't know he had left us. He gave a fabulous talk at the Perth Conference, his passion and self-effacing modesty were a revelation. He was in tears by the time he finished.
It's a really stunning piece too. 8) 8) 8)
