Title: Marbled weight
Post by: bat20 on May 08, 2014, 09:24:55 AM
Hi all, this weight is 3.5" wd and2.5" high with lovely marbling,it has a grey hint to the glass wth a polished pontil,in the first picture you can see a line of bubbles running along the inner marbled glass,i don't know if that made it a second, but it's not signed and to me it doesn't affect it's integrity, any ideas on the maker?,many thanks

Obviously this is not an easy one to identify, the only thing i can add is some bits of it remind me of slag glass, but there is very little wear to the base and at the same time having an older look to it ???

Yes it is difficult to ID but somebody may recognise it.  I feel it is a studio glass weight from the UK somewhere.

If it is a studio piece it will be one using a greyer type of glass if that helps.
