Title: Heavy blue vase - Czech or Scandi? - ID = Jiri Zejmon
Post by: Chris Harrison on March 22, 2007, 03:43:55 PM
Very heavy, clear deep blue vase with no imperfections.

19cm tall (to corner).
The vase tapers from 8.5 cm diameter across centre of top to 6.5 cm diameter across centre of base.
Weighs 1430g.

It has a deep (3 cm) circular base with ground rim.

It looks suspiciously Sklo Union.
Any suggestions as to designer and maker, please?

Thanks in advance,
Chris

Hi Chris. This one has featured before ... somewhere, if I can find it. I have one in blue. If memory serves me right, I think it might have been French. I'm sure some one will correct me if I am wrong.  Will try to find the previous thread.

Possibly German?

Thanks for that, Anne.

Hmmm, now the base of this one is different.  It DOES have a deep base, circular with a 4mm wide ground rim to it.  Sorry, the pic of the base is a bit hazy.

A certain GMB member sent me an email a while back to say that this was definitely a piece by Jiri Zejmon.
I have since found a couple more in different sizes and colours.

Chris, thanks for the update. I'll move it over to the Czech forum now. :)
