Title: perfume bottle - ID = Eric Hoglund for Boda
Post by: Mick the fish on March 27, 2023, 12:20:08 PM
can anyone help with identifying this perfume bottle? It is 9cm tall without the stopper inserted and 13cm with it in. It is 6cm wide by 4cm deep and weighs 690 grms.
Has a polished out pontil mark and some etched letters and numbers. Base shows signs of age and use.

Any info would be really appreciated thank you.

RE my previous question here is a better image of the etching on the base (I hope)

The first word is Boda the Swedish glass company, then the reference number. Kerstinfroberg has posted some catalogues in the Scandinavian section.

Isn't the H for Erik Hoglund?

Yes it is, listed in the 1965 Retail Price List as Flacon, with the engraved design it is numbered 636/1173 costing 27 Dollars US at the time. There is also a 636/cut, presumably with a cut pattern instead which retailed for a bit less. Hoglund did a fair few figural designs.
