:hi: Does anyone know the pattern name, or age of this little crystal bowl. Well, not that little -- about 7 inches wide at top, and 3 inches deep.
Thanks.

Not seen it before as far as I know but I *believe* the lower pattern is commonly known as 'cane', the upper band known as 'pleat'. Hope that helps. Maybe look at patterns by Gillinder & Sons or McKey. Hope someone will confirm this and add more info.
Edit: Not much help but in searching [eapg cane] I ran across this cake platter which matches your bowl. Unforturnately no pattern was given... http://www.tias.com/5598/PictPage/1920747137.html

Thanks cubby01.
I will try to keep looking too, but using your info too
Just a question: It is not what is called American Brilliant Cut Glass -- being that is has such sparkle to it??

Hello
I don't think this is EAPG, both the bowl and the platter look more 1980s than 1880s to me.

Hi Sid :hi: (neighbor) - I was typing while you were posting -- and I said in just the post before you:

As I was wondering IF this might be such -- that is a good link above, IF this is Brilliant cut Glass.............?

Hello back!
It doesn't look cut to me. Is it lead crystal?

Hmmm, based on the picture I would have bet on it being pressed glass (as opposed to cut glass). Whether it is old pressed glass - Early American Pattern Glass (EAPG) - or newer is often hard to tell.
Are mold lines evident?
(brief time passes)
Ah, it is newer. It looks like Windsor pattern, aka canes and buttons I think, by Federal Glass. According to replacements.com the pattern is from 1974. (often molds are bought and put back into action so another glass company may have produced this pattern earlier - don't know.)

Good work!

:hiclp: Thank you ever so much.
With that info, I think I was able to identify the rest of it. It is called a "Federal Glass: Windsor Clear Round Vegetable Bowl" and as stated from 1974.
