Title: Murano Goblet
Post by: Howard52 on April 08, 2024, 07:17:23 PM
Could anybody help identify the signature on the Venetian goblet.
First name could be David.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks, Howard

 :)
It might be a lot easier to photograph and read if you were to rub some talcum powder over the signature with your thumb.
Or, given the colour of the glass, perhaps cinnamon or cocoa might be better?
It comes off easily, but sticks in the groves made.

Is that a folded foot on it?
Meaning, is the edge of the foot rim turned/folded under itself? Normally an ancient technique, I've never seen or heard of one on anything much more modern.

Could it be David Barry?
