Two car boot items, the first is very similar to AVEM with silver sparkles and bits of canes in and a flat base, but is it Italian or Chinese?

The other one I think is Murano, but I've no idea by whom. Its a lovely aubegine colour around the rim and a lovely sage green in the middle. Its a stuning and unusual colour comination. The base is also flat.

Does anyone have an idea who might have made this one?

Thanks Terry,
Any idea who the factory/maker might be? I love the colours of the second one, very unusual but seem to work!

We will have to wait for Laura on this. I'm just a novice myself, but trying to learn. Terry

I'm no expert on Avem, but most of these Tutti Frutti pieces from them that I've seen have been cases underneath in a colour, either red, blue or green most commonly, this doesn't appear to be so that would be my only reservation.

Hi Paul,
I didn't think it was an AVEM piece, just similar too, if you know what I mean :?
On the Great Glass photo page for AVEM there are two pieces without the coloured casing, but they don't look like my bit, but one with red casing does  What a minefield :?
Confused from Newark

Is there a brown mottling to it as it looks in the piccy?

One interesting aspect is the fact that the bottom has been ground and polished, but also contains a ground and polished pontil. Terry

Wow Terry, thats just like mine, those brown bits are really silver  its just my wonderful photography
Mine has a flat polished base, no pontil at all. Any clues as to who made it? TK Maxx?

I have never seen anything like this at our TJ Maxx, but then can't see everything. I do know where mine came from. An estate tag sale. My giver gave me the story. She went the last day when everything was half off and this was still there. It was so grungy and dirty she had to soak it to get it clean. Conclusions readily spring to mind. 1. It has been there a long time. 2. The person was a terrible house cleaner. 3. The person got it as a gift and didn't like it. The speculation could go on. No matter, it was a gift to me and I do like it. Hopefully Chuggy and Laura can shed some light on them for us. Terry
