These are getting seemingly more common, but I found another highly dubious piece on Ebay. The piece, the pontil and the signature just do not look right...to me anyway.

Please don't be caught out as a novice collector and buy these cheap imitations. Buy the definite real thing, even if it costs more. I made mistakes when I first started collecting, not that I regret it, because I learnt a lot along the way. The seller also has a Strathearn "Vasart" vase for sale but also two fine pieces. Peace and happiness to all Ysart collectors, Martin.

The word on the base of this one looks more like Wasart than Vasart?

Edited ... to change emphasis of my question ...
Martin had shown the images using the original URL for the pics in the ebay listing [now removed].
Normally, linking to the ebay listing is preffered for such actions as this avoids problems of copyright breach of using seller's images and possible knock-on effects on the GMB.
But does the copyright problem apply when the image link is made with the original URL? Is this what is now quiite often discussed as "theft of bandwidth"?

Immaterial now as I edited the images out and replaced it with the eBay link. Better safe than sorry, but well spotted.

Thanks for letting me know KevH, I wasn't aware of this. I had copied pictures like this before without a problem. Sorry to cause any problems. Martin.

I told seller he got a baddie - thanks for alert
