Title: Elfverson/Stromberg powder bowl for show.
Post by: essi on April 04, 2023, 07:39:03 PM
Bought today to add to my growing collection of Elfverson/Stromberg glass.
This item is in a catalogue that belongs to Graham Cooley and was published in the glass association journal volume 8.
The bowl is given a code of C.6. The colour should be straw. These photos show it a bit darker.
It is 6 inches diameter and 4 and a half inches high. Weight is 1.48 kilos.

Thanks for sharing.  I love these design styles.  Do you know what year this was made/designed?

Thanks for the interest. The catalogue appears in the context of an article written by Graham Cooley and Charles Hajdamach called Captain H.J. Dunne Cooke, Elfverson &co (London) Ltd & Strombergshyttan. In the article they say the catalogue must be between 1933 and 1936.
Captain H.Dunne Cooke had design and business dealings with Whitefriars glass.
The link between Swedish glass and Whitefriars glass is an area i am interested in.
