What you see there is a beautiful Bodum Santos coffee maker. In my research into John Moncrieff I came across the information that they had supplied glass for Bodum in the 70's, but that was all.
Today, I confirmed with Bodum that John Moncrieff Ltd made this particular coffee makers glass components during the 1960's and 1970's. They are still being made but now in Germany. I doubt that you will find any Moncrieff markings on older pots but, they can be distinguished.
All of the Moncrieff made ones were hand made, presumably mould blown. All of the German ones are machine made. They are still in production.
The first person to find a Moncrieff one, and send in a picture for the site, gets instant fame on this board. :D

There would seem to have been a design chage and possibly more than one model...

My son and I have two of the Cona versions (one each!) which I think aren't Moncrieff?
Mine looks like this one: http://glassgallery.yobunny.org.uk/displayimage.php?pos=-9671
