Hi all - hubby and I bought this recently. It's pretty big and heavy for one of these (6in/15cm tall and 1162g in weight). As you can see from the photographs the stalk is a pale pink irridescent glass and the top is a beautiful dark blue mottled irridescent glass (see the second photograph below) - it's really lovely which is the reason we bought it, not our usual type of purchase! We've not got a clue who made it - we know the obvious makers of these items but haven't been able to work out what the distinguishing features might be in order to ID it - IOW, Ditchfield and Avondale spring to mind but I'm sure there were plenty of other companies also making these.
Any help in IDing this would be appreciated :-) TIA

I think it sometimes helps to also work out who it isn't
So it definitely ISN'T Wedgwood, Heron, Mdina. I don't think the shape is right for Ditchfield either.
But I certainly do like it! Good buy Pip (aka Pip's hubby...)

That's helpful - cheers Lynne :-)

Pip, i think it could be Heron glass :-\

Do you think so Sue? All the Heron glass ones I have seen have been more rounded and curvy?
Edited: just had a look, and the current production http://www.qualitygiftsuk.com/Heron%20Glass%20Colours.html
certainly does have the look of yours Pip!

I think Sue could be right here - having checked the link she gave it looks VERY much like a large Heron mushroom in Azure.
Well done Sue - the GMB bloodhound strikes again!

And definitely proves to me that my memory is not to be trusted!!! ::)
