Title: Westmoreland(?) Forget-Me-Not plate

I think I've cracked this one but I would be grateful for confirmation by someone with more expertise in pressed glass.

It looks to be a Westmoreland 7 3/8" salad plate with lattice rim in Forget-Me-Not pattern.  I also believe that this is opal glass, rather than milk glass, as it has "fire" in it when held up to strong light - the very thin edges show this in the second picture.  So between late 1800s and the 1940s for date?

Can't say I like them (I have 2) very much - the quality is very poor - but I was interested to find out more.

Yes, it is Forget-Me-Not not sure about the Westmoreland attribution because my the Collector's Encyclodpedia of Milk Glass by the Newbound's does not attribute it to a specific factory.

In the U.S. that is still referred to as milk glass but as you mentioned the presence of the fire indicates older milk glass.

Hi Connie,

I put the (?) because I believe Westmoreland made these in milk glass, but I think some pressed glass designs were made by more than 1 company.  No maker's mark to help with this one though, so it might be down to whether Westmoreland made them in opal glass before they made the milk glass ones. 

Also, not sure if Westmoreland made them with the gold paint or not.
