Ashtrays and stampers ??? Don't know who.
-
Hi Della, Congratulations 100% correct.
I am away till 19.00 hrs so I will be unable to comment on the who and when , if there are any ?
Regards Patrick

Whitefriars, as it's Patrick asking ;D, and 1920/30s as a more refined way to kill your dog end

Ashtrays and stampers ??? Don't know who.
Stampers, or 'snubbers'?
-
??? ??? ??? ??? ;) Erm...............pass. :-*
-
Actually I might have got it wrong: 'stubber' is more probable! ;)
-
Aha, then you got it right, David, as you said 'stubbers.' I just smoke the cigarettes and then shove them in a metal cylindrical thing (about an inch in height) and then they got out, hey presto, by themselves. ;D

We find these are fairly common in France, though I doubt many would be WF.

Marcus

I just noticed in Ivo's book a glass designer called Carl FAGerlund......sorry couldn't resist that! Possibly too much G & T is responsible ! Emmi

Hi, 100% NOT WHITEFRIARS..... but I see the reason why it might be thought so.
This glassshouse produced 60 different designs/sizes.
I have the cataloue and when I go to the Library tommorow I will upload all the info. I think it may well answer major questions in some peoples collections.
Regards Patrick.

Errrm, Nazeing? 1930s?
-
Hi Cathy, No not Nazeing.................... I am now going to try to upload the catalogue.
Regards Patrick.
-
Yes ashtray plus exstinguiher, based on a small pestle and mortar. We made the latter in clear glass up until quite recently at Nazeing, and "NO" they were not made by us. perhaps one of six or eight small factories in the Bresle valley in Normandy, France 1926 to 1936? LOUARD OR WALTHERSPERGER, PERHAPS?
