Is anyone aware of any specific units of measure for the glass industry?
To get the ball rolling, English:
A table of glass is 5 feet.
45 tables is a case
Except for Newcastle and Normandy glass in which case 25 tables make a case.
A square (of windows) is not square and a sash window is made up of 12 or 18 squares.
Leaded windows have lights.

Hi Frank, there is one page that might interest you, glass types and measures an Irish perspective, page two (http://www.ihbc.org.uk/context_archive/48/glasstypes_dir/glasstypes_2.htm).

Thanks Sue, seems to be a badly ocr'd book text but very interesting source of more obscure measures :) (Made it a link)

Please google
Der Glasfreund
the latest issue of March 2007 contained very interesting details and information.
My 'Glasfreund' is in the museum, and unfortunately I do not remember the author... Anne knows, why I do not promise to contribute tomorrow ;D
