Title: two ashtrays - Czech? Sklo Union?
Post by: josordoni on April 03, 2007, 09:50:32 PM
Two ashtrays here - seem rather continental to me, I wondered if the green one was Sklo Union?

Any help or pointers gratefully received

Hi Lynne,
Green one certainly could be, I have an example in citrine, but it remains unattributed at the moment but probably Czech/Polish.
The Amber one does not look particularly Czech, and patterning to the base, is not typical of SU ashtray production.
Regards,
Marcus

Thank you Marcus!

I think the patterning is rather nice on the amber, shame they couldn't have made it a nicer more attractive shape!

Green one is Sklo Union Rosice pattern number 904.
